Let's just get rid of the word marriage in our legal lingo. Make everything legally
a civil union and allow folks to call it whatever they want. That way, there
is no moral or religious overtones to the legal status. People can add in any
religious rites that they want and call themselves married, united... chained..
whatever. In the end, it isn't what other people do that makes a commitment work
anyway. So, right-wing, get over it.
